Criteria D – Evaluate

Criteria D – Evaluate
Instructions: Comparing the quality of the product with the original design specification.

1)Was my product able to meet the aim I established in my design brief? If yes why? If no, why not?
My final product did aim what I established in my design brief. My poster or final design does show how people can get frustrated by not achieving their dreams and their goals that they forget to live. So, we have to stop waiting until you finish school, until you go back to school, until you lose ten pounds, until you gain ten pounds, until you have kids, until your kids leave the house, until you start working, until you retire, until you get married, until you get divorced, until Friday night, until Sunday morning, until you die, until you're born again to decide that there is no better time than right now to be happy. My message is. Simply. Be happy. The final product totally meets the purpose of the quote. It sends a message and that was my goal. I wanted people to see this design or poster and really understand the message. And the quote is perfect because it’s not a hard one to understand. The moral is right there. Another thing is that I actually have things written, in the mail box I have the reason why I chose that quote instead of others and the importance of it. So, if someone didn’t understand it they could always check it.

2)Which are the areas that require improvement?
The only area that requires improvement is the color. It looks kind of uncolored because of the printer. I really like the mail that says “open me” and it’s something I created afterward. Another thing is that could change would be the size. It would look really cool bigger.

3)Do you have any changes or deviations from the original design? Explain and justify.
No, my original design stayed as it is. The only thing that I changed was the poster. In my original poster, I was going to have only my design and that’s it. But I thought it would look boring. So, I created the mail box with the words “open me” and a bow to make it more fun. Another change that I made was the color of the poster; the original one was going to be white, or pink. This one is brown. So, there is a big difference in that. The size was another difference, I kept it small. With that, I could add everything to make it nicer. If I had a huge poster with nothing except the design, it would look boring. Another thing that I changed of the original design of the poster was the bow; I added it after I had everything done because I thought it would look cute and that it would look nicer.

Evaluating efficiency of the planning process.

1.Did everything work as I planned? If not, what went wrong?
Yes, everything worked well; I didn’t have problems with anything. I am really happy with my result. Although I went a little bit off road, and changed lots of things. I was happy with the result.

Evaluating the social significance of the product
1.Did you think that your presentation is useful for the student community?
My design is definitely useful for the student community actually, it helps anyone. This message is made for anyone. Any human being who gets frustrated while trying to achieve their goals. The message in this quote is useful for every public.

2.Friends’ opinions 2 people and their opinion.
Carlos: Rafaela is a very intelligent, organized, and indeed a creative girl. She is always aware of things and searching the perfection. In this project, Rafaela was extremely interested and I witness she put in all of her effort in this project. In her design, she was very creative; her picture of a beautiful road makes me happy. I assume that was her point now that it was her topic. Her creativeness of using an envelope in the project is very interesting. Anyway, I believe that she did an extraordinary job and I am certainly proud of her! Good job!

James: Rafaela has done an excellent job with her project. She has been very engaged in the activity and she has put lot of effort into it. She has worked really hard and she has paid a lot of attention to detail. Her final product matched her design and represented the theme appropriately. I think she deserves a 6.
